Boeing and Tata Announce Aerospace Joint Venture in India

HB5Q2348_med-resBoeing and Tata Advanced Systems today announced a joint venture (JV) that will manufacture aerostructures for aircraft and collaborate on integrated systems development opportunities in India.
 




The JV will initially create a manufacturing center of excellence to produce aerostructures for the AH-64 Apache helicopter and to compete for additional manufacturing work packages across Boeing platforms, both commercial and defense.  Boeing and Tata Advanced Systems intend to grow the JV partnership in the future with a focus on opportunities to collaborate on development and selling of integrated systems.
   
 
 

Etihad Airways Announces Option Conversions For Two Boeing 777 Freighters at Dubai Air Show 2015

Etihad AirwaysEtihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, today announced it would take delivery of two Boeing 777 freighter aircraft.




The decision to exercise the options, which were part of Etihad Airways’ historic US$67 billion mixed fleet order for 199 aircraft in 2013, was unveiled on the opening day of the Dubai Air Show.

Friday, November 06, 2015 - TigerairTigerair Singapore has signed a Flight Hour Services – Tailored Support Package (FHS-TSP) contract with Airbus to provide full component support, and fleet technical management services for its A320-family aircraft.
 





This 10-year FHS-TSP contract, commencing early 2016, guarantees spare parts availability through an extensive scope of A320 Line Replaceable Units (LRUs), components repair, transportation and expendables provisioning together with Fleet Technical Management (FTM) services where Tigerair will benefit from Airbus’ experience and expertise to optimize their aircraft maintenance and engineering operations.
   
 
 

Southwest Airlines Pilot Union Rejects Agreement

Southwest AirlinesSouthwest Airlines today announced that its Pilots have rejected the tentative contract agreement that Union and Company negotiators reached in September. According to the Southwest Airlines Pilots Association, 62 percent of Pilots who cast ballots voted against the deal.





“Everyone who worked on this agreement wanted to ensure that it recognized Southwest Pilots for the role they play in the Company’s success,” said Vice President of Flight Operations Craig Drew. “Although our efforts failed to produce an agreement, we will continue working until we have a contract that meets the needs of our Pilots and the Company.”

Turkish Airlines announced as Official Partner of European Rugby Champions Cup and Challenge Cup

The agreement between the tournament organiser of European professional club rugby and the world-renowned national airline of Turkey will run for three years until the end of the 2017/18 season.
