Alaska Airlines Begins Flying to Costa Rica

Alaska AirlinesAlaska Airlines inaugurated new service between Los Angeles International Airport and Costa Rica’s two major international airports, further strengthening the airline’s southern California focus city.





The eight weekly flights from Los Angeles (LAX) to San Jose (SJO) and Liberia/Guanacaste (LIR), Costa Rica, started Saturday and Sunday respectively, and is the first international destination Alaska has launched since 1991, when the Seattle-based airline introduced seasonal service to Magadan, Russia.
 
   
 
 

South African Airways codeshares on Air China to resume a nonstop service between Johannesburg and Beijing

Air Canada Inaugurates 787 Dreamliner Service to Delhi

The new route offers the only non-stop flight between Canada and the Indian subcontinent and is the first to be dedicated for Air Canada’s Boeing 787-9 series aircraft, the most modern aircraft in its fleet.

auckland airport imageAuckland International Airport Limited (“Auckland Airport”) gives notice under clause 20(1)(a) of schedule 8 of the Financial Markets Conduct Regulations 2014 (“Regulations”) that it proposes to make an offer for the issue of fixed rate bonds (“new  bonds”) in reliance upon the exclusion in clause 19 of schedule 1 of the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013 (“FMCA”).





The main terms of the offer and the new bonds are set out in the attached terms sheet. Except for the interest rate and maturity date, the new bonds will have identical rights, privileges, limitations and conditions as Auckland Airport’s:
   
 
 

New era begins for Cathay Pacific as airline unveils changes to aircraft livery

The livery was showcased on one of the airline’s Boeing 777-300ER aircraft at a special event held at Hong Kong International Airport.
   
 
 

SWISS teams up with Swiss Olympic and Swiss Paralympic

SWissUnder the new partnership agreement, which comes into immediate effect, SWISS will support the Swiss Olympic and Swiss Paralympic teams in their air travel to and from major sporting events abroad, including the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Summer Games in Brazil.




 
For next year’s Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro SWISS will operate two special flights, one before and one after the event. On 1 August the airline will fly part of the Swiss Olympic team non-stop from Zurich to Rio on one of its new Boeing 777-300ERs, the sixth to be delivered.
   
 
 

SNAV congress 2016 to be hosted in Sri Lanka

Boeing, EL AL Israel Airlines Agree on 787 Dreamliner Order

Boeing, Minsheng Financial LeasingBoeing  and EL AL Israel Airlines agreed on an order today for up to nine 787 Dreamliners, valued at more than $2.2 billion at current list prices. Three of the orders will be added to Boeing’s Orders & Deliveries website on Nov. 5 and the remainder will be posted as further contractual requirements are finalized.
 




EL AL will also lease six additional 787s from independent leasing companies as the Israeli-flag carrier looks to replace and grow its existing long-haul fleet, increasing capacity and providing greater route flexibility to and from its hub at Ben Gurion Airport, Tel Aviv.
