Porter takes you to the slopes with seasonal Mont Tremblant service

Porter AirlinesPorter Airlines begins its annual seasonal winter service between Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport and Mont Tremblant on December 5, through April 6, 2016. Flights are available up to 12 times weekly during the peak schedule.

Travellers arriving in Tremblant on Sunday or Monday can catch a lift to the top of the ski hill for free with a special offer available until November 1. Each passenger receives two free days of skiing with complimentary lift tickets to help jump start the season. Find complete details here.

download (3)Porter Airlines is celebrating nine successful years of service. Since the first day of operation, Porter has flown more than 360,000 flights and 15 million passengers, as of October 22.

Porter began service in 2006 with two Bombardier Q400 aircraft and one route between Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport and Ottawa. Today, the company has grown to include an all-Canadian Q400 fleet of 26 aircraft and flies to 24 destinations in Canada and the U.S.

Qatar Airways Los angeles pop-up event is a huge success

The unique event celebrated the upcoming daily, non-stop service between Hamad International Airport in Doha and Los Angeles International Airport, scheduled to commence on January 1st, 2016.

Lufthansa CookandFly WinnersLufthansa passengers in Hong Kong can now enjoy the experience of travelling aboard the A380, the world’s largest and most modern passenger jet. From October 25, 2015, Lufthansa will be operating daily A380 flights from Hong Kong to Frankfurt.

The aircraft accommodates a total of 509 passengers and will be configured with eight seats in First Class and 78 in Business Class, both located on the upper deck, 52 in Premium Economy and 371 in Economy. This represents a 20% increase in passenger capacity between Hong Kong and Lufthansa’s German destinations.

Tapio, the spirit of the woods, arrives at Helsinki Airport

Café Alvar A. was designed as a joint effort by Iittala, Artek and the Aalto Foundation in 2008. Café Alvar A. was known for displaying timeless Finnish design.

Qantas’ Group Executive for Brand, Marketing and Corporate Affairs, Olivia Wirth, said the second retro livery aircraft would build on the popularity of the first historical livery unveiled last year.

HKIA Sees Continuous Growth in Air Traffic in September

HKA Wins HKIA Customer Service Excellence Awards_1Air traffic at Hong Kong International Airport continued to grow in September.

During the month, passenger volume rose by 6.3% to 5.4 million, while aircraft movements increased by 3.3% to 33,085 compared to the same month last year. Cargo volume handled also recorded a rise of 1.1% year-on-year to 368,000 tonnes in September, after declining in recent months.

cheapoair is the first online travel agency to book direct flights between Los Angeles and Havana, Cuba. The first weekly flights are online and bookable for travel December 12, December 19 and December 26. More flights will be added in the coming months.

In February 2015, became the first website to book flights between the U.S. and Cuba. Since then, demand for these flights has grown. In recent months, nearly 40 flights between Havana and Miami have sold out. West Coast residents, however, had no opportunity to fly non-stop to Cuba. Now, that has changed.

Amtrak Announces Comprehensive Development & Improvement Program For Chicago Union Station

Amtrak logoAs part of the ongoing work to improve Chicago Union Station, Amtrak, Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Chicago area transportation leaders from Metra and the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) announced today a set of initiatives aimed at advancing the master plan to redevelop the station.

 The initiatives announced today include a Request for Proposal (RFP) for designing the major improvements and a Request for Information (RFI) for a master developer to lead redevelopment efforts.

Qantas expands its codeshare network across North America with 40 new routes

qantas-logo-4160Qantas has announced a significant expansion of its existing codeshare agreements with American Airlines, WestJet and Alaska Airlines, delivering greater benefits for customers travelling between North America and Australia.

Effective for travel from 25 October, Qantas will codeshare on American Airlines, Alaska Airlines and WestJet services on an additional 40 routes across the United States, Canada and Mexico.In total, Qantas will now offer codeshares on over 200 routes, covering more than 100 destinations across the United States, Canada and Mexico.
